Character Day 2016 is coming up on Sept. 22 and South Florida Jewish organizations have already signed up for it.
This year, Emmy-nominated filmmaker Tiffany Shlain’s nonprofit “Let it Ripple” is building on the global success and momentum of Character Day 2015 by broadening the initiative’s reach. Character Day is a free annual day and global initiative where groups around the world screen films – including “The Science of Character,” “The Adaptable Mind” and “The Making of a Mensch” – on the science of character development from different perspectives, dive into free printed discussion materials and join an online global conversation around the importance of developing character strengths such as resilience, grit, empathy, courage and kindness.
